We all tend to learn scales in positions on the guitar. But when playing leads, we want to get out of those constraining positional “boxes” and be able to effortlessly traverse the entire length of the finger board.

Shread Academy instructor Joe Cefalu demonstrates a very cool exercise for seamlessly connecting minor pentatonic positions on the fretboard. You should be pretty familiar with the minor pentatonic scale in all positions before using this video.
